FRRR “Strengthening Rural Communities”
We were so excited with the successful outcome of our FRRR “Strengthening Rural Communities” grant application, receiving funding support to replace our 30-year-old kitchen cooker with a modern, 90cm dual-fuel oven and a commercial Turbofan Convection Oven. This new equipment will increase our catering speed and capacity to cater for large events and greatly enhance the club’s ability to provide catering services to the growing number of business and community events held at the Clubhouse.
The new kitchen equipment was given its first trial run at our recent Awards Presentation Night, when 80 members, family and friends enjoyed a 2-course buffet meal. Our volunteer master chefs were delighted to cook food in the new ovens and it certainly tasted delicious!
This project received grant funding from the Australian Government in partnership with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR).
