Pinjarra Junior Bowls Program 2023

What a great turnout we had for the 3rd session of our Junior Bowls on 31 March 2023, with children aged 4-14 years coming along to the Pinjarra Bowling & Recreation Club and joining in the fun. Despite the cooler evening, everyone was super keen and excited to take part. Our coach, Kelli Wray had each bowler draw out a paddle-stick to allocate player positions and then supervised 8 ends of game simulation, for practicing and improving their skills. A One Bowl Contest followed with all the juniors putting down some amazing shots but the final bowl just skimmed off another to roll in and take out the win and prize, much to the thrill of the onlooking parents!

The BBQ was cranked up during the juniors session (thanks Christian & Steve) for everyone to enjoy a hot Sausage Sizzle together after the bowls. Kelli awarded encouragement prizes and handed out our special Junior Bowls Goodie Bags to every participant.

Thank you to Anthony Burham and his son Dante from Harvey Bowling Club, for coming along to help support the Junior bowlers. Thank you to the parents for encouraging your children to try the sport of lawn bowls, we hope this is the start of a new interest and it is great to see the younger generation embracing the game and keen to participate in future Junior camps.

A huge thanks to Kelli Wray for being part of our Junior Bowls Program and for her passion to get kids involved in the sport of Lawn Bowls. Her positive personality, enthusiasm and engaging coaching style was enjoyed by everyone and lots of fun!
